Study on the Energy Concept – to Much Remains Unanswered

The study on the energy scenarios for the Energy Concept 2050, eagerly awaited by the energy sector has now been published. With great interest, the results, the conclusions to be drawn thereof and consequent options for action are now being intensely discussed, assessed and interpreted differently, as was to be expected. This study will serve as a database and an essential cornerstone for the Energy Concept of the German federal government. Its publication has been announced for the end of September. This Energy Concept is meant to define the political guidelines of German energy policies until 2050 and thus provides an important framework for future investments and strategic positioning on the energy market. This alone is reason enough to categorically scrutinize and take a critical as well as objective look at the study’s most important assumptions, premises and the resulting developments of the electricity market from the perspective of the energy business. pdf-download »
