Price-Forward-Curve on the Gas Market – Sense or Nonsense?
The use of Price-Forward-Curves (PFCs) to assess customer consumption profiles has been tried and tested on the electricity market. The gas market’s dependence on temperature makes it difficult to follow suit. These synchronisation problems cannot be simply assessesed with PFCs.
